On 14 December 2025, the Green Roof Philippines team successfully conducted a Narra tree earth-balling and relocation activity at our solar plant project site in Barangay Balsik, Hermosa, Bataan - a meaningful milestone in our commitment to biodiversity protection and responsible renewable energy development.

In collaboration with a qualified contractor specializing in tree earth-balling and relocation, a mature Narra tree (Pterocarpus indicus), the national tree of the Philippines, and an endangered species under the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), was carefully earth-balled and replanted to a new location within our project site by forestry specialists. The process was carried out in compliance with stringent environmental regulations and fully aligned with the requirements of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), including necessary coordination and permitting from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).

The thorough earth-balling procedure was designed to minimize stress on the tree, protect its root integrity, and ensure its recovery. The Narra tree is now receiving ongoing care and maintenance in its new “home”. The activity highlights Green Roof’s proactive measures to preserve native and protected tree species while continuing with sustainable project development and operations. This initiative reflects our firm belief that renewable energy development and biodiversity conservation can coexist through responsible planning and disciplined execution.
